.loxgamers

WHO ARE WE?

LoXgamers is an Xbox Live gaming community, and was set up by founder, Loxy DSG, back in December 2003.

We exist to provide a home for those gamers that are perhaps a touch on the more laid back side of things. We don’t worry about stats and we don’t worry about being the very best of the best. We do however endeavour to have a laugh and not take gaming too seriously.

As a result of our ethos we have quite a few mature heads amongst our number. We think that's a good thing and are sure you'll agree.

Ability is no barrier.
From the very best to the most inept all are welcome. There are no barriers to joining LoX other than lack of enthusiasm for xbox live – and frankly if you are suffering from that you really shouldn’t be here.

We cater for gamers from the UK over the age of 18. Our membership encompasses a broad spectrum of the relatively youthful to the positively infirm – somewhere between 18 and 45 at the moment. Take an average and you will find that most of us sit in the mid to late 20’s bracket.

With increased age comes increased responsibility (and quite probably decreased mobility and bladder control). We understand that and it is reflected in our policy of come and play when you can. We will not bug you if you can only get on once or twice a week. We know (some of us first hand) how difficult other halves can get when it comes to xbox live. Get on when and where you can – all are welcome.

And if you think I’ve undersold this crazy little thing called LoX thus far think again. We currently run a number of gaming teams including PES, Rainbow, Forza, and GRAW. Sports, shooters and driving to name but a few. We play clan matches most weeks and given that we’re a laid back clan we don’t actually have a bad record. Join LoX Gamers and get involved.

Add to that a fair smattering of LoX Tournaments for those quieter times when we can't find other clans to lose to ;) . And regular, relaxed, chilled out sessions on most 360 games...why are you deliberating?

If any of this sounds like something that you want to be a part of then that's brilliant. Read on.

RECRUITMENT

Recruitment is not a difficult process but it is a little time consuming – fear not – all will become apparent in due course.

If you think you might like to join up the first thing we would ask you to do is post on the 'Meet & Greet' thread of our forums and introduce yourself – just tell us a little bit about yourself and if possible make us laugh – it always helps. From there we will invite you to a Recruit Induction on a game of your choosing (obviously it helps if it is playable over live!!).

With regard to your Recruit Induction you should have a think about a couple of things and try and mention them when you post in the opening message:

1) When would you be available to do a Recruit Induction?
2) What game would you like to play?

As a rule the game should enable at least four live players.

It is not about impressing everyone with your gaming skills but it is about meeting and saying hello to a number of the community. Assuming this goes well and you don’t offend anyone too important (!) you will be invited to become a LoX Recruit.

You will be a Recruit with LoX for about a month during which time we only ask that you be yourself, get involved, play games and post on the forums. This probationary period is in place to ensure that you get a chance to see whether or not you do want to be a part of LoX and to make sure that we haven’t made a mistake. We will let you know at the end of the month as to whether or not you will be offered full LoX Member status.

RULES

We don’t have too many to be honest. We ask that you are not abusive to people and you do not swear excessively. Simple really.

We will let you know if and when you go too far.

SUMMARY

That’s about it really. It ain’t difficult. Follow the easy to follow instructions and away you go. If you have any questions or queries anyone of us would be happy to answer them. Hope to see you on live soon!
